The Bible: Evidence (sadly) Is Not Enough
Contrary to popular belief and the party line, there is an overwhelming amount of actual, physical evidence affirming the Bible as exactly what it claims to be. A God-breathed, absolutely reliable, historically accurate document. Reliable and the ONLY source of unadulterated Truth on this planet. There are two types of “believers”: the ones who buy into the world’s worldview and tailor their theology accordingly, and those who start with the Word and tailor their worldview accordingly. Which one are you? I’ve run the gamut over the last couple of years as to my position regarding the elect. Or, more specifically, who belongs in that category in the first place. This seems to be as good a place as any for a starting point. The pulpit today is full of messages ranging from God wanting you to be healthy and wealthy to God being an ET and all manner of heresy in between. And, that’s ok because everyone has a right to their opinion and we wouldn’t want to offend…. 21st century mindset is such that any talk of matters spiritual is met with disdain and scoffing. Quantifiable, measurable, observable. Anything else is obviously on a par with witchcraft; rattles and beads and whatnot. Which in and of itself is heresy and anti biblical. It is very clear that the Bible considers the spiritual world as real, if not more so, than this “physical” realm. If that doesn’t raise red flags in your mind, you’re doing this wrong. This is the backdrop we are to make disciples against. The template we must redefine in minds already so far gone in enemy propaganda as to make it only something that someone God has shown His infinite Grace to could ever hope to receive. In this world saturated with signals on all frequencies, it is to be counted a miracle that anyone at all on this forsaken planet manages to stumble blindly into their own salvation. Much less grow in it. Even the clearest of consciences harbor thoughts and desires abhorrent to a Holy God and must be atoned for in some way. It’s been hardwired into our mainframe since the fall. And won’t be put right until the Day of the Lord. The Truth falls on deaf ears. The most airtight argument holds no weight to those already marked for destruction.
Romans 11:7-8r“God gave them a spirit of stupor, seyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.”
Joshua 11:20 - For it was the LORD's doing to harden their hearts that they should come against Israel in battle, in order that they should be devoted to destruction and should receive no mercy but be destroyed, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
Isaiah 63:17 - O LORD, why do you make us wander from your ways and harden our heart, so that we fear you not? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your heritage.
John 12:40 - “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”
But for the rest of us, don’t for a second think we’re out of the woods. The enemy has a game plan that ends with us dead and bloated. He’s been doing this a very long time and has succeeded in reducing our ability to truly discern God’s Will from our own at it’s very core. By replacing God’s sacred Truth with some watered down, easily disproved babble that passes for science. Over hundreds of years. Do you doubt? By blinding eyes and hearts to an integral part of Creation. By dulling our sense of danger and inflating our sense of self. Using only the Bible as a rudder through this, we can and will clearly see past the inherent danger and find what it means to rest in God’s Grace for real. It’s not the cakewalk being peddled from the pulpit these days by any stretch of the imagination. And you are not ok. A good person with some bad choices. You are a defective unit at the core and need to be completely redone. And there will be signs along the way that this is actually happening. Character develops, moral standpoints change, and so many other little details that there can be no mistaking the Holy Spirit working in the heart of the true believers. Without this, you’re building on sand. Repent. Start over. So, to reiterate, despiritualization, within and without the body of Christ.Contrary to what Paul says in Romans 8 v4 lets us know that we don’t walk according to the flesh, but, in fact, according to the spirit. Do we think this just a metaphor? A suggestion perhaps? Even more pertinently, skip down to v6 and find out that to set the mind on the flesh is death, but on the spirit brings life and peace. Now, I’m definitely not saying that we are to ignore the physical until we die or anything like that. I’m saying that before you write off the spirit realm altogether to just remember that your thoughts are not all that physical either. For that matter physical isn’t even all that physical, but that’s a talk for another day. The point is that everything is definitely not tangible. We share physical space with some dubious characters, operating on different wavelengths, but there again, a talk for another day. I suppose here is where I throw in gobs of pertinent scripture to support my wild sounding declarations, but I’m not gonna. I think believing in resurrecting the dead and living forever in heaven probably qualifies you for being open to this. Although, you’d really be surprised at how many people’s theology doesn’t even come close to tackling things along these lines. Which is the problem in a nutshell!! So, now what we have is an old collection of myths and fables with some pretty good advice on how to live if you can get around all the spirit world mumbo jumbo and get to the part where we’re just nice to everybody. All the time. Does that sum it up pretty well? Please tell me that this disturbs you! Greatly!! Even though this is not technically a salvation issue, it speaks overwhelmingly heavily to the consistent erosion of the authority of scripture. In this late age of decadence, we really can’t afford to be unclear or ineffective in our faith. There is too much at stake. Too many hearts and souls of those we love dearly that are still hellbound. Wrapped in some cozy little lie of the enemy that everything is ok and will go on forever the way that it always has. But, the clock will run out. If that doesn’t scare you, you’re doing it wrong. Repent. Start over! And, again, about the title. We will present evidence in great detail over the next weeks as we explore deeper the implications outlined. And, for those already marked for destruction, it doesn’t matter how convincing a case I present, it will just not be enough. I’m begging you, don’t be that guy! I will be back soon with more.
Peace and Grace Family!!
